Monthly Celebrations and recognitions The primary responsibility of the receptionist is to act as the facility's receptionist and be the primary access point for visitors, guests, etc. Duties span from answering phones, to providing clerical assistance, managing office equipment/supplies and assisting with the accounts payable processing. Greeting and assisting visitors, residents, family members, sales representatives, etc. and giving directions/information. Answering phone calls, taking messages and deliver messages. Sorting incoming mail and process outgoing mail. Operating business office machines and telephone/paging system. Disbursing resident fund petty cash. Receiving/providing receipts for payments made to the facility. Assisting with administrative duties such as typing reports/correspondence, filing, posting accounts, etc. Maintaining front office/lobby area. Ensuring deliveries are picked up promptly. Assisting in listening and reporting resident/family complaints. Providing the purchase of employee/guest meal tickets. Taking inventory, order and disperse office/central nursing supplies. Assisting with the accounts payable process. Maintaining the confidentiality of all residents and their care. Receptionist Qualifications A high school diploma or GED. Have a thorough understanding of the principles of best receptionist practices. Knowledge on the use of personal computers, e-mail accounts, software programs such as Word and Excel and minor office machines such as faxes and copiers.

Desired qualifications:

At least six (6) months in a clerical position or successfully completed secretarial science program from an accredited school/college.
