Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and pet care, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and assisting with animal handling and grooming. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with animals and support their health and well-being in a professional setting. Prior veterinary experience or pet handling skills are highly valued, along with a strong commitment to animal welfare and customer service. Responsibilities Booking reservations, confirming vaccinations, answering phone and emails Care for animals by feeding, watering, and cleaning kennels to ensure a hygienic environment Provide pet grooming services such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming Monitor animals for signs of illness or distress and report findings to management Maintain detailed records of animal care activities and treatments Ensure the safety of animals, staff, and clients through proper handling techniques Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or animals safely Uphold cleanliness standards in kennels, treatment areas, and common spaces Deliver excellent customer service by addressing client questions and providing updates on their pets' care Requirements Experience in dog training, pet sitting, or kennel work is preferred Veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly desirable Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of animal restraint techniques Familiarity with pet grooming practices and pet care routines Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) as needed Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate attitude toward animals and clients Previous veterinary experience or animal care background is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Reliable, responsible, and committed to providing high-quality pet care
