Become a part of our caring community The Receptionist receives and correctly routes incoming and outgoing telephone calls and accommodates visitors so that all callers/visitors are attended to promptly, courteously, and accurately. The Receptionist performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments. Checking in and outpatients, insurance verification and data entry.

Navigate proficiently through the EHR system. Schedule patients appropriately and accurately using scheduling software such as Radix. Scheduling may include in-person visits, electronic visits, no-shows, and other appointment types. Use customer service principles and techniques to assist patients calmly and professionally. Serve as the point of contact for patients entering and leaving the care center. Manage the new patient process according to current workflow. Collect all payments due at the time of service. Communicate with other departments as needed. Complete pre-visit planning tasks, including: Conduct insurance verification and confirm eligibility for services. Update patient demographics. Use insurance portals to verify eligibility. Collaborate with the Eligibility & Benefits department. Communicate with patients to resolve insurance verification discrepancies. Ensure all documents are processed accurately according to current policies and procedures. Comply with all Villages Health compliance, privacy, and security policies, including all HIPAA protocols to ensure patient confidentiality. Reconcile cash and other patient payments and verify them against daily financial records. Perform other duties as assigned. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications Strong customer service experience Ability to foster teamwork and partnerships with cross‐functional departments to resolve issues and improve customer experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Preferred Qualifications Experience in EMR systems 2+ years of medical setting front desk experience. Customer service experience. Experience in a highly customer service-oriented environment. Knowledge of and strict adherence to HIPAA Bilingual English (read, write & speak) and Spanish. Additional Information This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
