Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. Your responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and assisting with various administrative tasks to ensure a smooth workflow in our facility. Duties Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism upon arrival. Schedule and confirm appointments for veterinary services. Manage patient records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date. Process payments and handle medical collections as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area. Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient intake and discharge processes. Provide information to clients regarding pet care, services offered, and clinic policies. Handle phone inquiries and respond to client questions regarding appointments, services, or pet health. Utilize veterinary terminology effectively in communication with clients and staff. Support the team with animal handling, including restraint techniques when necessary. Qualifications Previous experience in a veterinary setting is highly preferred. Knowledge of animal anatomy, husbandry, and care practices is essential. Familiarity with veterinary critical care procedures is a plus. Experience with medical collection processes is beneficial. Skills in animal handling, including dog training and grooming techniques. Ability to perform basic laboratory tasks or procedures as required. Understanding of aseptic techniques related to veterinary practices. Experience with kennel operations or equine care is advantageous. Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
