Job Description
Position Summary:
The Venice Golf and Country Club is seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Part-Time Member Service Specialist/Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for members and guests. This role is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, handling incoming calls, managing reservations for dining and events, and providing administrative support to the front office team.Key Responsibilities:
Greet members, guests, and vendors warmly and professionally upon arrival. Answer multi-line phone system and direct calls appropriately. Make and confirm dining, event, and activity reservations using the club's reservation system. Provide accurate information about club amenities, hours of operation, and upcoming events. Assist with member communications, including emails, announcements, and reminders. Maintain a neat and organized reception area. Assist other departments as needed with administrative or clerical tasks. Monitor and respond to reservation-related emails and inquiries promptly. Adhere to all club policies and maintain the confidentiality of member information.Qualifications:
Prior experience in a customer service or receptionist role; experience in a private club or hospitality setting is a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning reservation or POS systems. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Must be flexible with schedule.Working Conditions:
Front desk/office environment with frequent interaction with members and staff. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
