Reports to the Physicians in clinical matters and reports to the Practice Manager in administrative matters.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires some sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching, supporting ambulatory patients, pushing wheelchair patients. Able to assist in the lifting of patients onto examination table. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard, photocopier, telephone, surgical instruments, and other minor medical equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains and protects confidentiality of patient information.
- Maintains a neat, pleasant, comfortable, professional patient environment as well as for all of those who work in this office.
- Greets all patients and visitors to office in a cheerful, hospitable, and professional manner. . Verifies accurate patient demographics, insurance, copays. . Answers multi-line phone system, adds patients to provider schedule for appointments.
- Participates in educational workshops, as required by Practice Manager to maintain knowledge required for the job.
- Prepares and assembles medical record documentation/charts.
- Ensures that questionnaires are uploaded to patient chart
- Updates patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in the patient chart.
- Prepares and sends all documentation to physician for review as appropriate.
- Complies with the office policies, including those relating to HIPAA and OSHA.
- Ensures patient forms and documents are available for the physician and the necessary copies are made in a timely manner.
- Performs other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.
- Performs related work as required.
PEFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology. Knowledge of medical office procedures. Skill in answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner. Ability to speak clearly and concisely. Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Ability to communicate clearly. Ability to pay attention to details.
Education:
High School Diploma required.
Experience:
