Job Description

Overview Join our healthcare team as a Check-Out Receptionist, where your friendly demeanor and organizational skills will be at the forefront of patient care. In this vital role, you will serve as the last point of contact for patients during their check-out process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience. Your expertise in medical administrative support, health information management, and electronic health records (EHR) systems will help facilitate accurate documentation, billing, and patient communication. Duties Greet patients warmly upon check-out, providing excellent customer service and addressing any immediate questions or concerns Collect payments and process using eClinicalWorks Review and verify documentation for accuracy in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies Scheduling follow-up appointments and imaging Handle phone communication with patients and insurance providers, demonstrating professional phone etiquette and effective communication skills Qualifications 1 to 2 years of clerical or customer service experience, ideally in a medical front-office setting. Proficiency with computer systems, multi-line phone systems, and electronic medical record software. Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, Medicare policies, and health insurance processes Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on patient service and office experience Ability to maintain clinical confidentiality while managing sensitive health information securely
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
