Full Job Description Job Title:
Veterinary Receptionist Duties:
- Greet and welcome clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures
- Collect and update patient information in the computer system
- Handle client inquiries and provide accurate information about services and pricing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Process payments and handle financial transactions
- Assist with filing, record keeping, and other administrative tasks as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with animal handling techniques and safety protocols
- Experience with medical collections or insurance billing is beneficial
Skills:
- Knowledge of veterinary critical care procedures for emergency situations
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology to effectively communicate with clients and staff
