Full Job Description Job Title:
Veterinary Receptionist Duties:
  • Greet and welcome clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
  • Assist with check-in and check-out procedures
  • Collect and update patient information in the computer system
  • Handle client inquiries and provide accurate information about services and pricing
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
  • Process payments and handle financial transactions
  • Assist with filing, record keeping, and other administrative tasks as needed
Experience:
  • Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus
  • Familiarity with animal handling techniques and safety protocols
  • Experience with medical collections or insurance billing is beneficial
Skills:
  • Knowledge of veterinary critical care procedures for emergency situations
  • Familiarity with veterinary terminology to effectively communicate with clients and staff
