Tallatoona CAP, Inc. is currently hiring for the position of Front Desk Receptionist
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective:
Under the direction of the HR Director, the Receptionist will work to ensure that all aspects of the front desk are maintained at the Central Office. The Receptionist will meet, greet and provide friendly customer service to staff, clients and visitors. The Receptionist will be knowledgeable of all programs offered by Tallatoona Community Action Partnership, Inc. and be a facilitator of our Mission Statement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet all visitors, clients and staff in a professional manner. Answer all incoming calls and facilitate delivery and messages. In charge of incoming and outgoing correspondence. Maintains a neat work area and ensures a professional atmosphere in the lobby at all time. Supports LIHEAP program by, answering and responding to calls, check appointments, Supports Weatherization-through maintaining waiting list for all counties clients. Supports other programs as requested. Record all incoming checks for Tallatoona. Maintains copy and postage machines, reset and keep counts of usage for program billing. Go to post office twice daily. Assist all programs at central office as needed. Keep calendar for conference room availability Manage challenging incoming phone calls and assist in having complaints directed to the proper areas. Assist accounting department as needed. (in-kind, accounts payable support and additional duties as requested).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be effective in both verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to plan and organize. Must have the ability to work with individuals inclusive of all ethnic, racial and cultural backgrounds. Basic knowledge of community and its resources is required. Must have basic computer skills such as e-mail, data entry and word processing Individual with both oral and written English/Spanish bilingual skills preferred. Must have access to a vehicle, a valid drivers' license and maintain adequate liability insurance and must be able to attend required meetings and trainings at various locations.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED. 3 years' clerical and customer service experience required. Demonstrated computer and office skills required.
Work Environment:
This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely requires interactions staff, clients and vendors. Requires use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to clearly communicate verbally. Must be able to drive and travel between different counties as required. Must be able to complete administrative duties to include reading, talking, sitting and standing for blocks of time. Must be able to lift and move paperwork and files, up to 5 pounds. While performing the duties of the job the employee is regularly required to walk, climb steps, sit, use hands to move objects/operate keyboards, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, speak and hear. Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
