Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and bilingual Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare team! Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, establishing a friendly and professional environment. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Schedule appointments accurately via medical scheduling software, coordinating with clinical staff to optimize daily operations. Verify patient insurance information, including health insurance knowledge related to Medicare and other plans, ensuring proper documentation review. Handle incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, providing clear information or redirecting inquiries as needed. Maintain accurate medical records, including filing, data entry, and updating electronic health records (EHR) while adhering to HIPAA confidentiality policies. Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as billing, coding (ICD-10, CPT coding), and documentation review to support billing processes and care plans. Support clinical staff by managing office supplies, organizing files, and performing clerical duties like 10 key typing and data entry. Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills across Microsoft Office applications and EMR/EHR systems to streamline daily workflows. Qualifications Bilingual proficiency in English and another language is essential for effective patient communication. Previous clinic experience or healthcare office experience is highly preferred; familiarity with medical terminology is a plus. Knowledge of EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is required; experience with electronic health records management is ideal. Strong understanding of health insurance procedures, including Medicare and HIPAA compliance standards. Experience with medical coding (ICD-10, ICD-9), CPT coding, and medical billing processes is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and active listening abilities. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with strong typing skills (10 key typing).
