Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Receptionist and become the welcoming face of our compassionate animal care facility! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and visitors, ensuring a smooth flow of operations at the front desk while supporting the veterinary team with administrative and client communication duties. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly upon arrival, providing exceptional customer service and addressing their needs with professionalism and enthusiasm Manage appointment scheduling using veterinary software, coordinating with veterinary staff to optimize daily operations Handle medical collections accurately, processing payments and insurance claims efficiently while maintaining confidentiality Assist with front desk administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to client inquiries, and managing correspondence Support veterinary critical care efforts by understanding basic veterinary terminology, assisting with animal restraint, and facilitating client communication during procedures Maintain organized records in compliance with Veterinary Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) regulations and USDA regulations Contribute to a safe environment by understanding animal anatomy knowledge and applying proper animal restraint techniques during examinations or treatments Experience Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners and team members Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and/or veterinary software systems and for administrative tasks Join us in making a difference in the lives of animals and their owners!
