In this energetic role, you will serve as the initial contact with patients when they enter the surgery center. Your warm and welcoming attitude will help streamline operations, improve patient experiences, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and compliance. Responsibilities Greet all people who come to the surgery center. As the first contact at the surgery center you will be the first impression and the initial face of the brand we've built with our expectations of providing our patients first in class care. Coordinate the check in process for same day surgery and procedures ensuring all necessary documentation and pre-operative requirements are completed accurately. Answer phones and route them appropriately Verify insurance coverage. Maintain detailed records within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to ensure accurate documentation of patient information. Communicate effectively with patients regarding appointment details, pre-surgical instructions, while using professional phone etiquette and multi-line phone systems. Utilize computer skills to manage scheduling software; handle filing, data entry, and other clerical tasks efficiently. Experience Prior experience in an ambulatory surgery center and surgery check in strongly preferred. Willing to train for right candidate. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems is essential. Knowledge of medical terminology, and medical check in/admission processes is required to ensure accurate documentation and billing practices. Experience with insurance verification processes including Medicare or private insurance plans is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; familiarity with office management tools like Microsoft Office is beneficial. Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist diverse patient populations effectively. Previous ASC experience can enhance your success in this role.
