Job Description
Responsible for outstanding customer experiences whether in person or on the phone. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, visitors, physicians, staff and other persons contacted in the course of work. Most importantly having the ability to keep pace with a high volume of patients while preforming multiple, sometimes complex tasks while smiling. Demonstrate computer skills and maintaining knowledge of EHR system. Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Greet and assist all patients initially as they enter the clinic
- Check in patients, copy insurance cards, explain insurance benefits, and confirm demographics
- Direct patient flow through clinic
- Answering phone, scheduling appointments, directing phone calls
- Collecting monies for services, materials & copays
- Order contact lenses
- Verifying patient insurance and calculating cost
- Prepare superbills
- Ensure HIPAA rules & regulations are in compliance
- Coordinate with all other team members of changes and/or updates within schedule or relevant information
- Dispense & adjust eyewear when needed
