Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients of all ages. We pride ourselves on cultivating a welcoming, patient-first environment where our staff is highly valued and treated like family. We are looking for a professional, energetic, and highly organized Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact, you will play a critical role in setting the tone for our patient experience.
Position Summary:
The Medical Front Desk Receptionist coordinates daily patient flow, manages the check-in and check-out processes, handles high-volume phone lines, and supports the practice with essential administrative duties. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills, a strong attention to detail, and a warm, empathetic demeanor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Patient Reception:
Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival, manage patient check-in/check-out, and maintain an organized, welcoming waiting room.
Scheduling:
Coordinate, schedule, and confirm patient appointments using our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
Phone Management:
Answer incoming calls using proper telephone etiquette, answer patient inquiries, triage clinic calls, and take accurate messages.
Insurance Verification:
Validate patient demographics and insurance eligibility, scan insurance cards, and collect co-payments or balances at the time of service.
Medical Records:
Handle electronic filing, maintain up-to-date physical/digital patient charts, and route documents to appropriate providers.
Office Maintenance:
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, open and close the front office daily, and keep the desk area tidy.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous administrative experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
