Front Desk Associate

Job Description

Job description: Does everyone tell you how friendly you are? Do you enjoy helping people and making them feel welcome? Then this is the position for you! We are seeking candidates for the Front Desk Attendant. You are the first and last impression of our business. This position provides immediate, efficient, and friendly customer service in person or over the phone. This position is also responsible for general maintenance and cleaning of the reception, member lounge, spot checking throughout the center, and towel laundry upkeep. The Front Desk Coordinator is essential to the promotion and information sharing of all center programs and services. Qualified applicants will have previous customer service experience (preferred), drive to succeed, genuine interest in health and fitness and ability to work a flexible schedule. This position includes a free gym membership and other perks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintaining positive interactions with members on a daily basis Providing direction to members and assisting them with any questions, concerns or problems that arise on the spot Assisting prospective members with completing registration and ensuring that they are addressed in a timely fashion Displaying a consistently positive attitude towards members, staff, job tasks and mission statement Checking in all guests and members, quickly and professionally Operating the cash register and answering phones Maintaining current knowledge of club programs and services

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Customer service experience Observant and detail orientated while staying attentive to current surroundings Self-motivated and able to work with little to no supervision Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organization and time management skills Punctuality and reliability are a must Able to handle conflict resolution

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Continual standing and walking during shift Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift Must be able to occasionally lift over 30 pounds Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals

SCHEDULE & HOURS

20-24 hrs per week. To be considered, candidates must have availability for: 1-2 evening shifts per week (mandatory) and weekend opening shifts (mandatory).
