We are looking for a friendly, organized, dependable Front Desk Associate to help create an exceptional experience for pets and their parents. This is a customer-service and sales role at the center of our salon. You will welcome clients, manage appointments, communicate with groomers and bathers, process payments, explain services and memberships, and help keep the salon running safely and smoothly. What you'll do Welcome pet parents and pets, providing an excellent check-in and check-out experience Answer phone, text, email, and in-person questions about grooming services, appointments, pricing, memberships, and retail products Schedule, confirm, modify, and recommend appointments based on pet needs, service timing, and salon availability Explain and enroll clients in grooming memberships, packages, add-on services, and retail products Process payments, memberships, and point-of-sale transactions accurately Communicate pet notes, client preferences, timing expectations, and customer concerns to groomers, bathers, and leadership Help resolve client concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate Maintain an organized, clean, welcoming front desk and retail area Follow all pet-handling, sanitation, safety, cash-handling, and company procedures Report equipment issues, salon hazards, supply needs, and operational concerns to management Support rebooking, client follow-up, retail presentation, and other daily salon needs Qualifications Required Reliable, positive, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced team environment Strong communication and customer-service skills Comfortable interacting with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments Comfortable working in a grooming-salon environment that may be warm, humid, wet, noisy, and subject to pet hair Ability to stand and move throughout the shift and safely lift up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation Willingness to follow safety, sanitation, pet-handling, and company procedures Availability for [insert required weekend/opening/closing shifts] Preferred Customer service, retail, hospitality, salon, veterinary, pet-care, or appointment-scheduling experience Experience with memberships, recurring services, retail sales, add-on sales, or customer retention Experience using POS, booking, or customer-management software Familiarity with dog behavior, basic pet care, grooming terminology, or salon operations Pay and incentives Base pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour , based on relevant experience and qualifications Monthly membership-enrollment incentives for qualified new memberships [Add benefits: employee grooming/retail discount, paid sick time, health benefits if applicable, PTO, training, advancement opportunities, etc.] Membership incentive Earn additional monthly incentive pay for qualified new memberships personally enrolled. A qualified membership must have a successful first payment and meet company verification requirements. Full incentive-plan terms are provided during the hiring process.
