Position Summary The Part-Time Receptionist serves as the welcoming face of Western Avenue Community Center during evening and weekend hours. This position is responsible for greeting visitors, answering phones, providing basic information, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and supporting staff and programs during non-business hours. Essential Responsibilities Greet members, visitors, program participants, and community partners in a friendly and professional manner. Answer and direct incoming phone calls and messages. Monitor the front desk and building entry during assigned hours. Provide basic information about WACC programs, activities, schedules, and facility use. Assist with evening and weekend program needs as directed. Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area. Monitor building activity and report safety, maintenance, or behavioral concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Follow all WACC safety, emergency, confidentiality, and operational policies. Complete basic administrative tasks, including sign-in sheets, attendance, and other assigned documentation. Support closing procedures, including securing designated areas and ensuring the building is ready for the next operating period. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous customer service, receptionist, or community center experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Comfortable interacting with children, seniors, families, staff, and community members. Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment. Basic computer and telephone skills. Must be able to work evenings and weekends as scheduled. Pay:
From $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 25.0 per week
