Job Summary:
The Front Desk Associate serves as the first point of contact for visitors, customers, and vendors, creating a welcoming and professional experience. This role is responsible for managing incoming calls, greeting visitors, assisting with visitor inquiries, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the front office.
Responsibilities:
Answer, screen, and route incoming telephone calls appropriately. Provide general information and assistance to callers. Greet and assist visitors, customers, and vendors in a friendly and professional manner. Maintain visitor sign-in logs and ensure proper visitor procedures are followed. Monitor visitor access and maintain awareness of building security protocols. Direct visitors to the appropriate department or destination. Receive, sort, and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries. Provide general administrative and clerical support as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area. Assist the Office Coordinator with office and building supply inventory and ordering. Support additional front office and administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED required. Previous customer service, receptionist, or administrative experience preferred. Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills. Strong telephone etiquette and customer service skills. Professional, friendly, and composed demeanor when interacting with visitors and handling calls. Ability to maintain professionalism and courtesy when working with customers, vendors, and employees. Proficient computer and keyboarding skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Reliable, punctual, and dependable attendance. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to remain seated and work at a computer for extended periods. Available to work Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
