Overview:
We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients and their beloved pets. If you have a passion for animals and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk
- Collect and update patient information in our electronic medical records system
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various tasks as needed
- Provide accurate information to clients regarding services, fees, and general pet care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room
- Process payments for services rendered
- Coordinate prescription refills and communicate with pharmacies as necessary
Skills:
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Experience with pet grooming or animal care is a plus
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Familiarity with kennel operations and animal catheterization techniques
- Understanding of equine care is beneficial but not required
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to pet owners
