Overview:

We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients and their beloved pets. Responsibilities:

• Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk
• Collect and update patient information in our electronic medical records system
• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various tasks as needed
• Provide accurate information to clients regarding services, fees, and general pet care
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room
• Process payments for services rendered
• Coordinate prescription refills and communicate with pharmacies as necessary

Skills:

• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
• Experience with pet grooming or animal care is a plus
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Familiarity with kennel operations and animal catheterization techniques
• Understanding of equine care is beneficial but not required
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to pet owners
