This role combines front desk responsibilities with clinical support, ensuring a seamless patient experience from check-in to treatment. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional patient care. You will play a vital role in managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and assisting with clinical procedures in a fast-paced dental environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and specialized procedures such as oral surgery and endodontics. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and manage appointment scheduling using patient management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Collect and update patient medical histories, vital signs, and insurance details while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, processing dental equipment, and ensuring infection prevention measures are followed according to dental sterilization procedures. Assist dentists during various procedures including oral surgery, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry with chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques. Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging using digital radiography equipment like 3D scanners or standard dental x-ray units while practicing proper infection control protocols. Manage patient records accurately within EMR systems such as Epic or Medical documentation software, ensuring compliance with medical coding standards. Support administrative duties by answering phones, managing patient flow, processing payments, and handling inquiries professionally. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, equipment, and clinical procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic or similar medical records software is a plus. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and healthcare infection prevention and control practices. Ability to perform dental sterilization procedures accurately and efficiently while maintaining aseptic technique. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry, including oral structures and medical imaging techniques. Excellent communication skills for patient management and team collaboration; ability to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages including pediatrics. Certification in X-ray technology for dental radiography; CPR certification preferred but not required. Flexibility to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and clinical confidentiality policies.
