Our client, a respected law firm in Highland Park, is seeking a polished and detail-oriented Temporary Receptionist to serve as the face of the office and provide administrative support to attorneys and legal staff. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with clients, managing a busy front desk, and ensuring daily office operations run smoothly. Responsibilities Greet clients, visitors, and vendors with professionalism and courtesy Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls Manage conference room scheduling, meeting setup, and cleanup Coordinate Zoom meetings and assist with conference room technology Receive, sort, scan, and distribute incoming mail, deliveries, and legal documents Process outgoing mail, courier requests, and FedEx shipments Monitor and manage shared office email communications Order and maintain office supplies and ensure common areas remain organized and presentable Support attorneys, legal assistants, paralegals, and administrative staff with overflow projects Assist with document preparation, scanning, filing, photocopying, and records management Process payments, expense requests, and other administrative transactions as needed Coordinate meal orders for meetings and firm events Assist visiting attorneys and provide general office support Handle special projects and perform additional administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
Prior experience working as a receptionist in a law firm Professional, polished, and client-service-oriented demeanor Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing demands The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, and highly organized, with the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced legal environment.
