Tailchasers Pet Care is seeking a skilled Reception Coordinator to lead our front desk operations. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure that every guest—both human and furry—has a seamless and enjoyable experience at our resorts. About the
Role:
As the Reception Coordinator, you'll be one of the primary points of contact for our clients and play an important role in ensuring clear, accurate, and reliable communication regarding each pet's care. You'll work hands-on in reception at both of our facilities (Arlington Heights & Lake Barrington), collaborate closely with the Kennel Manager to support smooth day-to-day operations, and report directly to the Executive Management Team. In addition to reception responsibilities, you'll assist with training new team members, provide coverage when needed, and support management with various projects as assigned.

Customer Relations:
Handle customer inquiries and grievances with empathy and professionalism, ensuring client satisfaction.
Data Integrity:
Accurately manage and update pet care instructions to ensure seamless communication between staff and pet owners.
Front Desk Management:
Oversee the reception area, schedule appointments, and process payments efficiently.
Team Support:
Train and mentor reception staff, fostering a positive and professional environment.
Facility Coordination:
Work closely with the Kennel Manager to align front desk and care operations.
Compensation:
$17-$18/hour (based on experience)
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
At least 6 months in a customer service or reception leadership role, preferably in the pet care industry.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to manage customer grievances with tact and effective solutions.
Detail-Oriented:
Strong organizational skills and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
Communication Skills:
Friendly, clear, and professional communication with clients and staff.
Tech-Savvy:
Proficient with scheduling software, payment systems, and basic computer functions.
Leadership:
Proven ability to train, guide, and motivate a team.
