Responsibilities Greet clients warmly and manage appointment scheduling with efficiency and professionalism Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide clear information about services and procedures Assist veterinary staff with animal handling, restraint, and basic animal husbandry tasks to ensure safety and comfort during examinations and treatments Support clinical procedures such as IV insertions, medication administration, catheterization, and aseptic techniques under supervision Maintain accurate record keeping of patient histories, treatments, medications, and client interactions in compliance with clinic protocols Ensure cleanliness of the clinic by performing routine cleaning duties including sanitation of treatment areas, kennels, and equipment Facilitate client education on pet care, behavior, nutrition, and post-treatment instructions to promote animal welfare Experience Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Kennel experience or familiarity with animal handling techniques is highly desirable Knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices will enhance your effectiveness in this role Hands-on experience with surgery support tasks such as restraint during procedures or assisting with medication administration is a plus Strong communication skills for engaging with clients empathetically while conveying complex medical information clearly Ability to handle dogs and other animals confidently using proper restraint techniques while maintaining safety for both animals and staff Comfort working with personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to aseptic protocols to ensure a sterile environment Join us in making a difference in the lives of pets and their owners! $16.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
