Maintaining the reception area in a friendly, clean, organized and professional manner. 2. Greeting Residents, Residents' families and friends, salespersons, and other visitors and directing each according to their needs. 3. Answering all incoming telephone calls and making connections with proper persons. Taking messages or forwarding calls to voicemail for Department Heads and Supervisors. 4. Referring calls requesting various information and determine the proper source. 5. Provide clerical support for the facility by using the front desk computer to create Resident Admission Forms, business and thank you letters, and other requested documents or spreadsheets. 6. Additional clerical support on a regular basis for the Business Office, Medical Records, Nursing Administration, Human Resources and any other clerical task as assigned by the Front Desk Coordinator. 7. Photocopying, folding, cutting, sorting and laminating as needed/requested. 8. Assuring all clerical information worked on at the front desk is kept confidential and secure per Hooverwood and HIPAA policies and guidelines. 9. Selling meal tickets to employees and guests. Balancing meal box at beginning and end of each shift. 10. Follows proper protocol for all emergency codes, i.e. when the
FIRE ALARM
goes off, checking the fire panel to locate area of FIRE then announcing /page the location of
CODE RED.
Once confirmation is received of a fire or a false alarm then dial the Fire Department informing them of the situation. Then announcing an all clear when the situation is over. 11. Responsible for the security of everyone that comes through the front door. May request employees to show their purses, bags, etc. for a visual inspection. 12. Responsible for locking/unlocking the front door at designated time. 13. Assures family members and visitors sign in/out and abide by the facility visiting hours. 14. Assures each package/delivery is directed to the proper department. 15. Issuing job applications to anyone requesting them. After the applicant has completed the application, place the completed application in either Human Resources mailbox. 16. Redirect confused Residents, who may attempt to wander off facility premises, to the area they are to be in. If the Resident cannot be redirected, call the unit for a nursing staff member to come and assist the Resident. 17. Logging residents out and back in when they leave the building (for any reason). 18. Notifying the IDT Group when a resident passes away. 19. The Receptionist shall fully comply with all aspects of Hooverwood's Corporate Compliance program and its Code of Conduct. 20. The Receptionist cannot pose a direct safety or health threat to others in the workplace. 21. The Receptionist shall perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the CEO, CFO, Administrator, and/or the Executive Administrative Assistant.
•This position is for a PRN position. It is for either days shift or evening shift 2 weekends a month. with the possibility of covering other shifts as needed, but no guarantee. Besides 16 hours every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
