Job Description
Join the Woodlawn Team as a Front Office Clerical Receptionist! We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Office Clerical Receptionist to join our medical office team @ Woodlawn Medical Professionals. This position is responsible for welcoming patients, scheduling appointments, answering phones, managing patient records, and providing excellent customer service in a professional healthcare environment. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while helping create a positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
: Experience in a medical office, hospital or long-term care facility highly recommended, not required. High School Diploma or GED. Computer aptitude to do inquiry, data entry and daily system operations. Good communication skills and pleasant phone technique as required handling various telephone and in-person communication with patients, guests, and other medical providers in a professional manner. CPR Certification Math aptitude sufficient to balance and handle cash. The right candidate should have the ability to: Separate personal opinions and feelings from professional demands and responsibilities of the position. Plan, organize and prioritize work in a multi-task environment where interruptions may be frequent. Maintain strict confidentiality as defined by hospital policy and federal law. Adapt to variations in scheduling (including but not limited to overtime, work schedule changes or low census).PRIMARY DUTIES
As the receptionist, you will greet patients and guests in a professional manner responding to questions or requests appropriately. Schedules appointments according to specified guidelines. Handle cash, balance the daily charges and perform daily deposit. Deliver deposits to bank daily as needed. Obtain complete patient demographic and insurance information for system entry and check patients in for appointments in a timely manner. Ensures that all telephone calls are answered promptly and handles or directs the calls appropriately. Performs office opening procedures and closing procedures independently as scheduled. Sort incoming mail and incoming faxes to then distribute accordingly. Scan necessary patient health information into EHR, and route into corresponding patient charts, ensuring accuracy. Route incoming electronic faxes in EHR in patient charts.Position:
