Job Description:
Job Summary In this position, one would have shared responsibilities between working the front Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) reception desk, operating the ECC phones, Client account management and at times, Liaison responsibilities. This position is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week. The schedule is a rotating schedule, with hours spanning evenings and weekends. The schedule is 4 days per week with 10-hour workdays, and shifts usually will be either 2PM
  • 12AM, 3PM
  • 1AM or 4PM
  • 2AM.
At times, may be requested to work outside of these shifts depending on staffing needs (hours/shift are subject to change). One must be comfortable working alone for part of a shift. One must be able to perform a variety of miscellaneous duties as assigned. Be willing and able to attend staff meetings, have on-call shifts, and some holidays will be required. What You'll be
Doing:
Front Desk:
Assist clients at the front counter. Screen client requests, explain policies & procedures, assist clients in getting necessary forms completed, check-in patients, check-out patients, take payments for visits, pet food, and prescriptions and assist in keeping a clean and organized lobby.
Phones:
General responsibilities include answering incoming calls to the emergency line, taking referral information from clinics, providing general information, including cost of exams, providing information regarding Poison Control when needed, taking messages for clinicians/students, and transferring calls when needed. Faxing/emailing records to clinics and/or clients when needed.
Client Account Management:
Ensuring accounts are entered accurately, proper paperwork is on file, managing In-House Financial Worksheets on the weekend (entire hospital), communicating with clinicians on cases we are overestimating, and assisting the client liaison with Balance Due Worksheet.
Liaison:
Responsible for ensuring client account and patient information are accurate. Maintain communication with the ER department to provide updates to clients, process deposits, finalize payments, discharge patients, discuss financial options (such as CareCredit), and perform any other tasks assigned by supervisors.

  • $19 an hour, plus shift differential for the night shift.
Hourly wage will be based on the candidate's experience and skill set.
What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience Qualified candidates will need: High School Degree/GED Three (3) years of Clerical experience in a medical clinic/veterinary office or related customer service experience
