This role is crucial in providing exceptional customer service and support to pet owners while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of veterinary terminology, excellent communication skills, and a genuine love for animals. Veterinary reception experience is strongly preferred.
Pay Rate:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Hours:
Part-Time (approximately 15-25 hours per week) Responsibilities Creating a welcoming environment, by greeting clients and their pets warmly upon arrival. Schedule appointments, manage the calendar, and confirm upcoming visits. Answer phone calls and address inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Process payments and handle billing inquiries efficiently. Assist veterinary staff with animal handling during examinations or treatments as needed. Provide information to clients about pet care, medications, and post-treatment instructions. Ensure the clinic is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality patient care and client satisfaction. Qualifications Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist is highly preferred. Proficiency in veterinary terminology is essential for effective communication within the practice. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with kennel operations is a plus. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential for success in this role.
