Job Description
The MCH Herington Clinic is accepting applications for a front desk receptionist. This full time, Monday through Friday benefits eligible position will answer phones, greet patients and schedule appointments while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Welcomes patients to the clinic with a positive and professional attitude. Promptly answer telephone calls with courtesy, relaying messages and transferring calls appropriately. Schedule patient appointments via phone or through the checkout process in a friendly manner, following the clinic's set guidelines. Greets patients and visitors to the medical office, answering inquiries and referring questions to other staff, as deemed appropriate from screening. Fully complete pre-registration and registration tasks - updating patient demographic information, verifying insurance, and ensuring required forms are collected. Assure the clinic's waiting/lobby area and reception workstation looked maintained and orderly. Handle daily patient payments received, manage the petty cash and complete reconciliation/audit routinely as set by clinic's business office procedures. Assist HIM in requesting outside records (upon provider or nurse request), and scanning documents into electronic record system, following set guidelines. Retrieves, sorts, and distributes incoming faxes and office mail. Help track office supplies and maintain office equipment. Perform other duties as assigned.ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports directly to the Clinic Manager. Assist and work in conjunction with medical office staff to facilitate smooth office operations.QUALIFICATIONS A
high school diploma or GED is required. Experience working in healthcare setting preferred. Attention to detail Ability to work independently and problem-solve capabilities. Strong communication and ability to work as a team. Proficiency with computers and capacity to learn relevant EHR system. Experience with Microsoft Office applications Able to perform a variety of duties in a short period of time.Benefits
