Company Description At Hebron Animal Hospital, you'll join a compassionate, knowledgeable, and supportive team dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care. We are a well-established, fast-paced six-doctor veterinary hospital in Hebron, KY, serving primarily dogs and cats along with pocket pets. As an AAHA-certified hospital, we take pride in maintaining high standards of veterinary medicine while creating a welcoming experience for both clients and patients. We also have Fear Free Certified professionals on our team.
As a veterinary receptionist, you'll play an important role in creating a positive first and last impression for every client who walks through our doors. You'll work closely with our veterinary doctors, technicians, assistants, and support team to keep the hospital running smoothly and ensure every client feels heard and cared for.

Job DescriptionAs a veterinary receptionist, your day may include:
Greeting clients and patients with warmth and professionalismAnswering phones, emails, and client questions while directing concerns to the appropriate team memberScheduling appointments to support an efficient veterinary hospital workflowChecking clients in and out and processing paymentsHelping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception areaProviding compassionate and discreet emotional support to clients during difficult situationsCommunicating veterinary recommendations and helping clients understand their next stepsMultitasking in a busy veterinary environment while maintaining excellent client serviceOur veterinary receptionists are an essential part of the client experience and work closely with the entire veterinary team. You should be comfortable discussing a variety of medical outcomes and providing empathy and support when clients need it most.
QualificationsWe're looking for a veterinary receptionist who is:
Experienced in reception or client service; at least 1 year of veterinary experience is preferredCompassionate, calm, and comfortable supporting clients during stressful situationsA strong communicator and team playerHighly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced veterinary settingComfortable using computers and learning veterinary technology and systemsA self-starter who is eager to continue building veterinary knowledge and skillsThe role may involve exposure to unpleasant odors and noises, as well as animal waste, bites, scratches, and potentially contagious diseases.
