Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for animals in our facility. You will ensure a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for pets while assisting with their daily needs. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for animal care and customer service. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding and exercising. Maintain cleanliness of the kennel area, including cleaning rooms and common spaces. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management.. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with owners. Ensure all safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment for both animals and staff. Requirements Must be able to work any shift weekends and holidays. Must be able to work most weekdays. Previous experience in pet care or animal handling is preferred. Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners. Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques, including animal restraint methods. Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including a lot of walking, lifting and moving animals when necessary.
