Job Summary The Front Desk Receptionist will need to deliver a warm, professional, and efficient experience to all visitors and callers. In addition to greeting walk-in customers and managing incoming calls, this role will support parts of the Accounts Payable / purchasing side of the business. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-oriented, detail-driven, and comfortable balancing front-office responsibilities with basic financial tasks. Key Responsibilities Front Desk / Customer Service Greet visitors, clients, vendors, and prospective customers as they arrive, and direct them to the correct person or department. Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls; take and relay messages; manage multiple lines and phone extensions. Provide general information about the company, internal departments, and services. Maintain a welcoming, tidy, and professional reception area (supplies, literature, décor, etc.). Accounts Payable / Purchasing Support Assist with processing purchase orders and vendor invoices. Administrative & Miscellaneous Perform general clerical tasks: filing, scanning, copying, document preparation, data entry, and correspondence. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent required; some accounting / bookkeeping coursework or related training is a plus. Prior experience in a receptionist, administrative, or bookkeeping role is preferred, particularly exposure to Accounts Payable or purchasing processes. Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional demeanor. Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities. High attention to detail; ability to spot inconsistencies in invoices, documents, etc. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort learning accounting or ERP software. Ability to maintain composure and provide good customer service under pressure. Integrity and discretion in handling confidential information. A proactive, resourceful attitude; willingness to pitch in where needed. Working Conditions & Expectations Primarily office environment, with frequent interaction at the front desk. Ability to stand or sit at a desk for extended periods. Some lifting of light packages or office supplies may be required.
