Job Description
Job Overview Looking for individual with some history of animal handling skills willing to learn how to work with established team members at a small animal general veterinary practice. Our training program starts with customer service. Training can progress through animal restraint and doctor support. There are opportunities for some employees with college degree, veterinary specific education or previous veterinary work experience to continue training to a higher level of technical support. A successful candidate will be able to show ability to be trained and then preform proficiently in a self directed, busy environment at all aspects of their assigned job responsibilities. Duties to Include This position initially is Entry Level with training opportunities and potential for advancement Manage the front desk and provide initial client contact care Answer phone calls to schedule appointments, connect clients with others on the team as needed and provide information Greet clients face to face and create an atmosphere of professionalism and support Communicate, through multiple modalities, with clients about all aspects of their pet's care Work with clients and colleagues to support the work of the Clinic Multi-task as needed Demonstrate the ability to take initiative while still knowing when to escalate or involve others Provide and demonstrate excellent customer service, interpersonal relations, and animal interaction skills Employ self-management competencies when needed with clients, colleagues or pets Demonstrate willingness to take direction and adapt as needed to provide the best experience for clients, pets and colleagues Learning oriented and willing to try new things or adapt to SVC practices
