10 Month, Staff/Non-Exempt This position is a part-time role with responsibilities on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 1-6 pm during the school year between late August and June.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for greeting visitors, providing a great first impression, and making them feel welcome and comfortable. Responsible for answering the telephone, routing calls, and delivering messages to employees and students throughout the school day. Responsible for completing a background scan using the School's visitor management software and issuing name tags for all visitors to the School. Responsible for providing information about missing attendance data to the Division Heads on a daily basis. Responsible for managing the flow of people in and out of the building. Attention to security management is important.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Awareness and appreciation of a culturally diverse community, including racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, linguistic, and gender identity diversity, is a key component of job expectations within our community. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Accuracy and attention to detail. Strong technology skills, including the use of various web and database tools; familiarity with Google Workspace and Veracross preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time. The ability to deploy situational awareness to preserve the safety of students and community members. The ability to think independently and collaborate in a team environment. The ability to lift and hold 15 lbs overhead. The ability to occasionally transport (e.g., move or drag) 25 lbs. The ability to consistently operate a computer. Proficient or the ability to learn Google tools and other applications as adopted by the school. The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). The ability to maintain focus in an energetic and, at times, loud environment. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
