Dispensary Front Desk Associate

Job Summary Join the dynamic Fresh Connection team as a Dispensary Front Desk Associate, where your energy and enthusiasm will create a welcoming environment for our customers. In this role, you will be the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service while managing daily front desk operations. Your friendly demeanor and organizational skills will ensure smooth transactions, accurate product knowledge sharing, and a positive experience for every visitor. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop retail and customer service expertise within a vibrant dispensary setting. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries in person and over the phone, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and inventory management Educate customers about available products and recommend suitable options based on their needs Manage lobby flow and maintain organized waiting areas Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk, lobby, restroom, and common areas Perform light cleaning duties, including restroom/bathroom cleaning and restocking supplies as needed Take out trash and assist with maintaining overall store cleanliness standards Communicate effectively with budtenders and management Assist with administrative and operational tasks as needed Handle cash and POS transactions when required Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and security protocols Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking shelves, tracking product levels, and participating in regular stock audits if needed Support retail sales efforts through suggestive selling techniques and engaging customer interactions In down time, compile information about surrounding dispensaries' bundles and promos to be shared with managers over Slack Smart phone required for use of the apps Slack and Gusto Experience Prior experience in retail sales or customer service roles is preferred, especially within grocery stores, coffee shops, or similar environments Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and the ability to oversee team members when needed Bilingual abilities are highly valued to effectively serve diverse customer populations basic math skills are essential for effectively understanding bundles and promos basic knowledge of the metric system as all products are in grams or ounces. Strong communication skills, professional phone etiquette, and a friendly attitude are vital for success in this role
