Job Description
Essential Functions:
Ensures accurate distribution, maintenance, data entry of any paperwork related to primary assigned function including but not limited to: hazmat, stock orders, specials, backorders/transfers, new returns, overs/shorts, and inter-company mail. Manage the main reception area, serving as the primary point of contact for all visitors, vendors, drivers, and employees. Screen and direct incoming phone calls, ensuring timely communication to the correct warehouse personnel or departments. Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries to appropriate staff or locations. Maintain visitor logs, issue temporary badges, and manage the sign-in/sign-out process for security and compliance. Schedule and coordinate appointments and meetings for warehouse management, as requested.Knowledge, Skills, Duties and Abilities:
Assist in maintaining office supply inventory and placing orders when needed. Perform basic administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry related to front-office operations. Maintain the neatness and professionalism of the reception area and lobby. Handle communication and paperwork flow between the front office and the warehouse floor. Accurately key data into the appropriate system Must be able to communicate needs, concerns, and progress of tasks to direct supervisor and management Must be able to always exhibit a positive attitude and strive to align daily tasks with the needs of the department, facility, and company as a whole Communicates issues, opportunities and obstacles as they arise Proven ability to handle a multi-line phone system and operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, computer). Exceptional customer service skills and a professional, welcoming demeanor. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy environment. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Able to perform tasks accurately Must be detail-oriented Able to stay organized, on task, and work independently Able to use scanners and navigate assigned functions Ability to work effectively within a diverse population and workforce both individually and as part of a team Must be able to communicate needs, concerns, and progress of tasks to direct supervisor and management Must be able to always exhibit a positive attitude and strive to align daily tasks with the needs of the department, facility, and company as a whole Comply with federal, state, local, OSHA, and company policies, procedures, and regulations Performs other related duties as required and assigned by managementCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred Successfully complete a pre-employment drug test Wear appropriate footwear protection and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed by Company policy Acknowledgement of and adherence to all Company policies and procedures as contained within the Fisher Auto Parts Employee and Driver's HandbooksPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, reach, lift, carry, bend, kneel, squat, and stoop Also required to climb, push/pull, balance, crouch or crawl, talk, speak, and hear Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus May be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and/or vehicles, high/precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, various degrees of cold and heat, risk of electrical shock, items of bulky or varying weight, risk of explosion, and/or vibration.
