Job Description
The award-winning Comfort Inn & Suites Sturbridge is looking for an energetic, dependable, and friendly individual to join our team as a Part-Time Front Desk Receptionist . The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, proficient with computers, and able to handle multiple responsibilities at once. Previous hotel or Choice Hotels experience is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate. This is a part-time position with the potential to become full-time. Applicants must have flexible availability to work both first shift (AM) and second shift (PM), including weekends and holidays . Responsibilities Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Register guests, assign rooms, and complete check-in and check-out procedures. Answer questions about hotel services, local dining, shopping, entertainment, and travel directions. Make, confirm, modify, and cancel guest reservations. Maintain accurate records of room availability and guest accounts. Process payments, post charges, balance cash, and prepare deposits according to hotel policies. Verify payment methods and follow all hotel payment and credit-card procedures. Answer and transfer telephone calls and accurately record guest messages. Ensure all rooms, charges, payments, and services are correctly reflected on guest statements. Respond to guest questions, concerns, and complaints, involving management when necessary. Communicate important information to other shifts and departments. Assist other hotel departments when needed. Follow all company safety, security, and emergency procedures. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management. Complete all required training and certifications. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong customer-service and communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Comfortable using computers and learning hotel reservation software. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain professional under pressure. Dependable and able to report to scheduled shifts on time and in proper uniform. Previous front desk, hotel, or customer-service experience is preferred but not required. Must be available for both AM and PM shifts. Weekend and holiday availability is required.
Pay:
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 - 25.0 per weekWork Location:
