Automotive Service Receptionist & Parts Coordinator Job Type:
Full-Time / Part-Time About the Role We are looking for a reliable, highly organized Automotive Service Receptionist to serve as the face and voice of our shop. In this role, you will bridge the gap between our customers, service advisors, and shop technicians. You'll be responsible for keeping the front office running smoothly—handling customer inquiries, scheduling repair work, sourcing parts, and processing payments. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love working with people, and have a sharp eye for detail, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities Customer Communication & Scheduling:
Answer high-volume phone calls, schedule service appointments, update customers on repair status, and greet walk-in clients warmly.
Parts Ordering & Logistics:
Coordinate with suppliers to source, order, and track necessary auto parts, ensuring timely delivery for scheduled jobs.
Billing & Receipts:
Prepare accurate customer invoices, process payments (cash, credit, financing), and issue detailed receipts.
Administrative Operations:
Maintain organized customer records, file service orders, manage daily shop schedules, and keep the front reception area clean and professional.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
1+ years of receptionist, customer service, or administrative experience (automotive industry experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate).
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, customer-focused phone etiquette.
Technical Proficiency:
Comfortable using shop management software, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and basic office software (Excel, Outlook/Gmail).
Organization:
Ability to multitask under pressure, prioritize urgent customer needs, and accurately double-check parts and billing numbers.
Compensation & Benefits Pay Range:
[$17.00-20.00 / hour] (Commensurate with experience)
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 per week
