Job Description

Our growing dermatology practice in Annapolis, MD is looking for an experienced, motivated, and personable team member to join our Front Office Team ! This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position, no weekends. Previous medical office experience is preferred but not required, and experience with Dermatology and EMA (Electronic Medical Records) is a plus. If you are friendly, organized, dependable, and enjoy making people feel welcome, you may be a great fit for our team. Our front desk is the first and last impression our patients have, so we are looking for someone who brings professionalism, positivity, attention to detail, and great energy to the office every day. Dermatology experience is preferred, and medical office experience is a big plus!
Responsibilities:
Answer phones and greet patients who come in. Schedule appointments and follow-ups for patients. Verify patient information and demographics. Process patient credit cards, co-pays, and collect insurance information. Update patients' medical records and obtain necessary forms. Maintain confidentiality and follow local, state, and federal compliance rules such as HIPPA and OSHA Guidelines. Become efficient in the state-of-the-art EMR (EMA by Modernizing Medicine). Transmit messages to the doctor's staff via EMA, Klara and Bonsai platforms. Maintain a clean waiting room and welcoming environment. Reconcile daily batch reports for payments accepted each day. Send and/or receive any medical records requests, faxes, text messages.
