Competitive and commensurate with experience Skipper Law is seeking a responsible candidate with at least one year of Receptionist/Administrative Assistant experience who is looking to grow with a small law practice. The position requires someone who is willing and able to learn and multi-task effectively. The job would include the following responsibilities: Must work from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Must have pleasant speaking voice and strong interpersonal communication skills to answer the phones, greet clients and visitors, accept consultation and retainer fees and accept client payments using LawPay and prepare receipt for same. Manage front desk tasks, accept packages, deliveries, and other tasks as necessary. Schedule client appointments, gather documents from the potential clients, and maintain temporary files for those appointments. Open and scan firm mail into electronic file site. Stamp mail, using Stamp.com software, and send out mail produced by attorneys. Open new client folders and all that entails. Close client files. Upload client expenses and attorney's time into Clio, the client expense tracking system. Mail out monthly client billing invoices and filing copies of same. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook email and calendar, Word, Excel. Experience with e-filing into the Court's e-filing system via MDEC Must be open to learning the methods and procedures utilized by the firm; and, understand that within the above tasks, there are smaller details and duties associated with carrying out those tasks.
