Join Our Team We are a fast-paced, client-focused family law practice seeking a highly organized and professional Receptionist/Secretary to support our attorneys and legal staff. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is committed to providing exceptional service to both clients and the legal team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day and maintains a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact by greeting clients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls. Manage the front desk and maintain a welcoming office environment. Schedule client consultations, meetings, court appearances, and attorney appointments. Open new client files and assist with client intake. Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, emails, and deliveries. Prepare outgoing mail and coordinate certified and overnight shipments. File pleadings electronically with Maryland courts and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third parties. Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files. Scan, copy, mail, and process incoming and outgoing correspondence. Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support the legal team. Qualifications Prior secretary/receptionist experience preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail. Professional demeanor with strong client service skills. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel). What We're Looking For The successful candidate is: Reliable and dependable.
