Job Description

About us Artistry in Plastic Surgery has been in business for over 30 years with three office locations in Lutherville, Bel Air and Columbia. We provide both surgical and non-surgical innovative treatments for the face and body. Artistry in Plastic Surgery (office of Dr. Brent Birely) is looking for a full-time, energetic receptionist to join our Lutherville office. Candidates must be able to perform record-keeping duties, perform clerical duties related to patient care and treatment, work in a fast paced environment and provide miscellaneous support to the practitioners and office manager. These service functions include, but are not limited to: Receive incoming calls, screen those that are handled by other healthcare team members, and take care of routine calls. Provide knowledgeable advice concerning the various procedures offered by the office. Check clients in - Greet clients in a professional, friendly, and hospitable manner. Schedule appointments, and obtain necessary data concerning the patient. Prepare all required paperwork and consents. Assure that all financial obligations are met- Collect patient fees, make change, process credit card transactions and, assist in making a count of cash drawer, run end of day transactions.
Skills and knowledge needed:
Possession of strong organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of practice procedures and operating instructions for making appointments, updating patient medical records, relaying information regarding patient's condition, and compiling and submitting data on patients treated. Requires strong customer service skills. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments. Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications including MS Office (Word).

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
