Full Job Description Position Overview:
The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for all clients entering the salon. This role is essential in creating a welcoming and professional environment while ensuring the smooth flow of daily operations. The receptionist will handle scheduling, customer service, and administrative tasks to support the salon team and provide an exceptional guest experience. Understanding hair is required.
Hours:
4-5hours per week during evening shifts.
Tuesday:
2:15-5:00
PM Wednesday:
2:15-7:00
PM Thursday:
2:15-6:00
PM Friday:
2:15-6:00
PM Key Responsibilities:
Greet clients warmly and create a positive first impression. Answer phone calls, emails, and text inquiries promptly and professionally. Schedule and confirm appointments using the salon booking system. Check clients in and out while managing payment transactions accurately. Inform clients about salon services, stylists, promotions, and retail products. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area and front desk. Assist with retail sales by recommending salon products and processing purchases. Handle client concerns or direct them to management when necessary. Support salon staff by managing the appointment flow and minimizing scheduling conflicts. Perform light administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and inventory tracking. Handle all social media platform, to include posting pictures, video and making sales promotion.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a receptionist, customer service representative, or similar role in a hair salon or cosmetology student Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable with computers, scheduling software, and point-of-sale systems. Detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced, customer-focused salon environment. Requires standing for long periods and occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs). Evening and weekend availability may be required based on salon hours.
