Job Description
Overview We are seeking a professional and personable Front Desk Receptionist to join our busy optometric practice. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for our patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency with various office management tools. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a well-organized, efficient workplace where customer service and administrative excellence are prioritized. Responsibilities Greet and check in patients as well as verifing their insurance Check patients out, collect patient balances and schedule special testing and appointments Manage multi-line phone systems efficiently, directing calls accurately and professionally. Schedule and confirm appointments Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using Eyefinity Practice Management system Support office operations by verifying and billing insurances Assist with patient communication via phone, email, or in person to ensure a positive experience. Maintain office supplies inventory and ensure the workspace remains organized and professional. Provide additional administrative support as needed to ensure productivity and efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience in office management or administrative roles, preferably as a front desk or medical/dental receptionist. Strong computer literacy skills Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication skills, including phone etiquette and patient interaction. Knowledge of office equipment such as multi-line phone systems and productivity software. Ability to manage time efficiently while prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines. Personal assistant or medical/dental receptionist experience is advantageous but not required.
