Landry/French Construction is seeking a professional, friendly, and highly organized Receptionist & Administrative Coordinator to join our team in Scarborough, Maine. As the first point of contact for visitors, clients, vendors, and employees, you will play a critical role in creating a welcoming and positive experience while supporting the daily operations of our office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys interacting with people, supporting others, and takes pride in keeping an office organized and running efficiently. Position Summary The Receptionist & Administrative Coordinator serves as the face of Landry/French Construction, providing exceptional customer service while supporting office operations, travel coordination, supply management, meeting logistics, and administrative functions across the organization. The ideal candidate is upbeat, dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong computer skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Reception & Guest Services Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, providing a professional and welcoming experience. Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls in a courteous and efficient manner. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area. Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries. Office Coordination Coordinate office operations and support day-to-day administrative functions. Order and maintain office, kitchen, and breakroom supplies. Monitor inventory levels and proactively replenish supplies as needed. Coordinate with facilities regarding office maintenance and workplace needs. Schedule conference rooms and assist with meeting logistics. Administrative Support Provide administrative support to various departments as needed. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and company records. Support special projects and perform additional administrative duties as assigned. Travel & Event Coordination Arrange travel for senior leadership and employees, including flights, hotels, rental cars, and itineraries. Coordinate catering and meal arrangements for meetings. Assist with planning and coordination of employee events, meetings, and office activities. Support initiatives that contribute to a positive employee experience and workplace culture.
Qualifications:
Required High School Diploma or equivalent required. Two or more years of experience in a receptionist, administrative assistant, office coordinator, or customer service role preferred. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a busy environment. Professional appearance and demeanor. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to take initiative. Dependable, flexible, and adaptable to changing priorities. Preferred Attributes The successful candidate will be: Friendly, approachable, and welcoming. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Compensation $22.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Full-time, on-site position located in Scarborough, Maine.
