Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join our thriving veterinary team! We are a 2-3 doctor small animal private practice located in the heart of Waterville. We are seeking either a part time or full time front-desk receptionist to help check patients in and out, answer phones, proceess payments, and provide compassionate care to our clients and patients. No nights or weekends. Full time staff are eligible for medical and dental insurance and IRA retirement. All staff are eligible for paid time off, paid holidays, uniform allowance, continuining education, and employee discounts. Pay based on experience. Duties Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins and check-outs using veterinary software. Handle medical collections accurately, ensuring proper billing procedures are followed. Maintain organized records of client communications, medical histories, laboratory results, and treatment plans. Support veterinary staff with laboratory tasks, specimen handling, and basic animal husbandry practices. Facilitate communication between clients and veterinary team members regarding pet care instructions, treatment updates, and follow-up appointments. Manage front desk operations including answering phones, processing payments, and coordinating kennel or pet grooming appointments when needed. Requirements Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is highly preferred. Proficiency in veterinary software systems and Microsoft Office applications for documentation and communication. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
