The responsibilities of this position includes, but is not limited to: Communication with attorneys, clients, court staff, governmental agencies, etc; Coordinating mediations, depositions, hearings, site visits, and meetings; Utilizing Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe to draft, proofread, convert, and compare various types of documents, including transactional documents, court filings, and filings with administrative agencies; Utilizing both electronic and paper filing systems, where applicable, to file documents with courts and administrative agencies; Utilizing our file management program, Clio, to open matters, record events, set reminders, record attorney time, process bills (when needed), set and monitor events on attorney calendars, etc; maintaining oversight of attorney files to ensure compliance with deadlines and to monitor file status; running firm errands when needed; oversight and processing company payables and receivables; and assisting attorneys with preparation for events such as trials, hearings, depositions, meetings, mediations, etc., including the printing and organization of documents and exhibits.
Experience/Skills:
Must have the skills to utilize Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe to draft, proofread, convert, and compare various types of documents, including transactional documents, court filings, and filings with administrative agencies. The ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects is required. Must have excellent communication, time-management and organizational skills
