Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This role is the first point of contact for our clients, helping create a welcoming experience and supporting both routine and more emotional visits . The ideal candidate communicates clearly, stays centered when the day gets busy, and brings a calm, friendly presence to our veterinary team. Responsibilities Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, pet care, and general veterinary information. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date in the clinic management system. Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail. Assist veterinary staff with basic administrative tasks as needed, as well as client education. Handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism, especially during emergencies or when dealing with distressed clients. Requirements Veterinary clinic experience is strongly preferred due to the medical terminology and nature of client communication involved in this role. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members. A passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing high-quality care to pets. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
