Commerce Twp., Fraser, Port Huron, Rochester Hills, Royal Oak, and Warren Position Summary Fraser Eye Care Center is a thriving medical practice dedicated to providing high-quality state-of-the-art ophthalmology services to our community. We are committed to excellence in patient care, and our team of professionals works together to ensure a positive experience for our patients. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for our patients and plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients. Skills Required Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor. Register new patients and update existing patient information in our practice management system. Verify patient insurance information. Answer phone calls in a high-volume call center, triage, route calls to appropriate staff, schedule appointments, and take messages when necessary. Contact patients to remind them of upcoming appointments. Process patient payments accurately and provide receipts. Balance payments received at the end of each day. Manage incoming patient referrals and requests for medical records. Run daily and weekly reports. Maintain a clean and organized front desk area. Always ensure patient confidentiality and privacy. Assist patients with inquiries, forms, and any other administrative support they may need. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure a seamless patient experience. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or medical office training is a plus. 1-2 years of previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR), scheduling software, and basic computer skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus. Ability to stand for extended periods of time while performing front desk duties. Willing to rotate between the front desk and call center. Reliable transportation to be able to work at multiple Fraser Eye Care Center office locations.Similar remote jobs
