Receptionist/Administrative Assistant Catholic Diocese of Lansing Lansing, MI Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description The Diocese of Lansing Chancery is accepting applications for a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant. This important role serves as the welcoming face and voice of the Diocese of Lansing. In this vital role, you will support the Bishop's ministries by greeting every visitor with dignity, managing the Chancery office logistics, and providing key administrative support in a collaborative, faith-focused environment. This is a full-time, Mon-Fri (8am-4:30pm) on site role.
Key Responsibilities:
Chancery Ambassador:
Greet guests warmly, manage the central switchboard, maintain lobby appearance, and coordinate meeting room schedules.
Operations & Security:
Uphold front-desk security protocols, manage incoming/outgoing mail and deliveries, and maintain strict confidentiality.
Administrative Support:
Support the Director of Building and Properties and the Building Manager with facility billing, expense tracking, and special projects.
Supply Logistics:
Order, stock, and maintain inventory for all office, hospitality, and custodial supplies.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
1+ years in an office support role with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 .
Education:
High school diploma required (college coursework preferred).
Church Familiarity:
Knowledge of Catholic Church organization is required. Parish ministry experience and being a practicing Catholic are highly preferred.
