1 week paid vacation after the first year Job Summary Our pediatric office is located in Monroe, MI. Our dental practice is seeking an experienced Receptionist/InsuranceCoordinator to manage front‐office operations and insurance workflows. The ideal candidate is organized, confident with dental billing, and comfortable communicating with parents in a fast‐paced pediatric environment. Experience with any of the following: Open Dental, Eagle Soft, Soft Dent, or Dentrix. Responsibilities Insurance & Billing Submit dental claims with required attachments (x‐rays, intraoral photos, narratives). Appeal and dispute denied or downgraded claims. Process pre‐authorizations and track pending approvals. Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding claims. Prepare and send patient statements. Assist with collections in a professional, respectful manner. Front Desk & Patient Coordination Greet and check patients in and out. Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage provider schedules. Verify insurance benefits and update patient accounts. Present treatment plans and financial estimates. Maintain accurate patient records in Open Dental. Administrative Support Assist with accounts payable tasks. Maintain organized documentation and follow office protocols. Support a positive, family‐friendly environment for patients and staff. Qualifications 3+ years of dental office experience (front desk, billing, or insurance). Strong understanding of dental insurance, CDT codes, and claims processes. Proficiency with Open Dental or similar dental software. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy pediatric setting. Dependable, professional, and detail‐oriented. Work Environment Pediatric dental office Fast‐paced, team‐oriented Daily interaction with parents, children, and clinical staff Compensation & Benefits $20-$25 per hour, based on experience 32-36 hours per week Paid bi‐weekly 1 week paid vacation after the first year Monthly Bonus opportunities
